Our flight nurses are hand-selected from intensive care and emergency department backgrounds, with specialised aviation nurse training to manage medical conditions in-flight. They are highly trained in advanced life support and critical care nursing, ensuring patients receive continuous expert care during transport.
Our doctors are AHPRA registered with currency in their area of medical specialisation ensuring patients receive expert medical attention during their transport. This includes emergency medicine, intensive care, anaesthetics, Indigenous health, primary health, paediatrics and obstetrics/gynaecology. Each doctor brings a wealth of experience in managing complex cases, enabling them to respond swiftly and effectively in critical situations.

MCG Aeromedical offers extensive geographical reach, with a primary base of operations located in Perth, Western Australia, and the capability to provide services both within Australia and internationally.
Our primary operations are based out of our Perth Hangar, situated at the domestic and international airport in Western Australia. Ensuring 24/7 mission activation response, we manage the operational and clinically logistics for aeromedical transport across both domestic and international destinations.
Our fleet can cover all regions across Australia, from major cities to remote and regional areas. We provide access to both large metropolitan hospitals and more isolated locations that are challenging to reach by ground transport, including mining sites, remote hospitals, and other hard-to-reach environments.
In addition to our domestic capabilities, we offer international transport services. Our aircraft fleet are equipped and other aircraft are equipped for long-range flights, enabling us to serve not only Australia but also nearby regions including Southeast Asia, the Pacific Islands, and further afield for aeromedical patient transfers across international borders.
Our operations are well-equipped for accessing remote areas and disaster zones. With our advanced fleet and medical capabilities, we can provide timely evacuation and transport from challenging locations in Western Australia and beyond, ensuring patient care even in the most difficult environments.
